James Ross presents The Greatest Hits Of Music every week, with a focus on the biggest and best songs from through the years â€“ Great songs that you remember, and some youâ€™ve forgotten!

James has been broadcasting one way or another since he was a scruffy teenager. He’s been a DJ, producer, TV presenter, journalist, reporter, operations managerÂ and distribution manager at numerous radio and TV stationsÂ in the UK and around the world. Somehow radio and TV is â€œin his bloods€, and throughout his career hear€™s had close links with many aspects of broadcasting.

JamesÂ startedÂ out in BBC Local Radio, working at BBC Radio Solent, BBC LondonÂ and BBC Radio Bristol, mixed with spells at Radio Top Shop. He was then, for many years, behind the scenes at BBC Radio One, and then as a reporter at BBC Radio Two and LBC News Radio. His reporting specialty was travel shows, and for this he travelled all over the world to record radio programmes about destinations such as Barbados, Egypt, Cyprus, Hungary, Sweden, China, Japan, the U.S, and many others€¦ an exotic and fun job which he loved€¦ perhaps not surprisingly!

THE ROCK BLOCK

The Rock Block is a weekly, two-hour rock show presented by Ian Davies and available free of charge to radio stations. The first show was released on Tuesday 1st February 2022.

The Rock Block features rock music in most forms – classic rock, prog rock, punk rock, glam rock and the special category ‘rock which may not even be rock’.

It is a fast-paced show, concentrating on the music, with the right level of vocal links to provide personality.

Rupert Palmer is no stranger to radio, having learnt his trade at several Hospital Radio stations in the south of the UK before moving on to Viking Radio in the 1990s under the wing of legendary broadcaster Tim Stewart. From there he travelled to West Africa, managing Sierra Leone’s first privately-run commercial radio station ABC FM 94; overseeing the station’s popularity and explosive growth.
